2026 has become a landmark year for the development of relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Several major events have opened new opportunities for bilateral cooperation:
• On February 19, the two countries celebrated the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations;
• On May 11, a visa-free regime between the two states came into effect;
• The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was granted guest country status at SPIEF 2026.
Today, Russia and Saudi Arabia are actively strengthening cooperation in tourism, economics, investment, healthcare, and scientific and technological collaboration.
The AEI Committee for Cooperation with Saudi Arabia continues to build a productive international dialogue. Under the leadership of Irina Andreeva, a Saudi Arabian delegation visited the Samara and Orenburg regions earlier this year.
Following the meetings, investment agreements are expected to be signed at SPIEF 2026, marking another important step toward strengthening business ties between the two countries.
