Arthur Leer addressed the FEDERATION COUNCIL OF THE FEDERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The Association of Exporters and Importers (MAP Ecosystem) continues its important work of bringing the proposals and problems of foreign economic activity companies to federal authorities in order to achieve socially beneficial goals in the development and improvement of the activities of exporters and importers.
On July 31, Arthur Dmitrievich Leer, Vice President of the Association of Exporters and Importers, addressed the FEDERATION COUNCIL OF THE FEDERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION with a report on the topic of cross-border payments in foreign economic activity.
In his speech, Arthur Dmitrievich noted: “Currently, executive bodies are successfully implementing measures to support foreign economic activity. However, businesses still face a number of complex challenges. The Association, expressing the opinion of businesses, pays particular attention to the issue of cross-border payments.
The Association actively participates in developing solutions to complex issues in the field of foreign economic activity and for these purposes interacts with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, with the Center for Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, REC and other agencies. For example, in 2022, we initiated the creation of conditions for cross-border payments within experimental legal regimes, and in 2024, our initiative was supported by State Duma deputies in the form of a bill. The Association calls for the consolidation of efforts to develop practical solutions in foreign economic activity, to simplify support procedures and to inform businesses,” concluded Arthur Dmitrievich Leer.

➖Anna Valerievna Solovieva, Deputy Managing Director of the Department of International Bilateral Cooperation, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
The meeting was chaired by Ivan Nikolaevich Abramov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.
Vice President of the Association of Exporters and Importers Irina Valerievna Zasedatel, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Business Russia also participated.
The meeting discussed the current state of affairs in foreign economic activity, the implementation of the national project “International Cooperation and Export,” and the problematic issues of foreign economic activity participants.
Following the meeting, at the suggestion of Ivan Nikolaevich Abramov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, the Association will submit to the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy for review generalized proposals from the business community on the support and development of foreign economic activity.
